freezebubbles:

If you’re a photographer and you fancy trying something very cool in these currently Arctic like conditions, wait unti it’s really cold at night and go and bolw some soap bubbles in your back garden …

If it’s cold enough and you get the mix right they’ll freeze before they come down, just like the pics in this like.  Very very cool indeed 😉

Pick A Pomegranate:

I’d never thought of how Pomegranate’s grow until I read this post … dunno why but it seems weird!  Someone will be telling me that spaghetti grows on trees next!

Blair’s 2AM Reserve:

Holy crap this stuff sounds nuts … “1tsp. of Blair’s 2AM reserve mixed with 1 gallon of sauce will produce extreme heat”, wow!

I’d be tempted to get some and chick some into  a colleagues salad to see what happens but I’m afraid it might actually kill them!

Playing golf can ‘damage hearing’:

I was in the market for a new Driver sometime soon (actually about 3 months ago but other things got in the way).  I tried some new drivers last year when the square drivers first came out and they were not only very loud but sounded horrible … fingers crossed that my search for a new model won’t permanently damage me.

UK short-selling ban to be lifted:

Are they mad? Wasn’t it just shit like this (OK, not exclusivly but still) that caused this whole global financial mess in the first place?? They banned it for a reason … it’s people making money buy selling things they don’t own and hoping that they’ll be able to return them with some profit intact … totally stupid!

Woman uses tape to trick biometric airport fingerprint scan:

While governments and airports (amongst others) continue to push boldly into our sci-fi style future where biometrics-R-everywhere, it would appear that not only are the systems rubbish (no surprise there then) but you can already buy kits to help you get past them.

In this instance the woman brought some tape that had someone elses fingerprints on and got through the scanner no problem – has anyone else watched Diamonds Are Forever recently 😉

Rhys Millen nearly lands truck backflip Video:

And for the third and final time we have a video of a nutter trying to backflip a truck … on the plus side he almost pulls it off this time and manages not to break his back again – I guess you’ve gotta call that one a win then 😉

Robbie Madison’s Amazing Record Jump Video:

Well the guy makes it look pretty easy but jumping a motorbike onto the top of the Arc de Triumph in Paris, stopping and then jumping back off again has to be placed into the insane pile … doesn’t it?

Free eBooks from eReader.com:

Anyone get an eBook for Christmas? I’ve been using a Cybook from Bookeen for about 18 months now but free is free and not to be sneezed at.  Some of these are already available from Project Guttenberg but there are some new books in this list too.

Photographs of Photographers:

I think this pretty much goes to show that photographers are basically nutters (hi Andy 😉
